Foundation Fridays
|
Foundation Fridays is meant to be about sharing music that has shaped what I listened to today. If you’ve heard of these albums before, maybe they’re worth another listen? Just sayin’. For my first FF, I want to relive an album that introduced me to electronic music. Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours will always remind me of friends, hang outs, mountains and a way simpler time. Its light and energetic sound has a weird way of making you feel positive in every sense of the word. Starting off with the airing synth pop “Feel the love”, and continuing on with anthems like “Lights and Music”, “Unforgettable Season” and “Hearts of Fire”, this album is the definition of a good time. If you haven’t listened to this album from cover to cover, it’s a must. Cut Copy is set to release their as-of-yet untitled third album in January of next year. Seeing their growth since Bright Like Neon Love, I wouldn’t be surprised if what we see is a whole new, evolved electronic sound. “Lights and music, are on my mind…” |
