As you are well aware by now, November has officially been renamed after the gift of upper lip facial hair. Mo bro’s of all shapes, sizes and hair growing abilities have collectively agreed to look creepy for an amazing cause. In honor of this amazing MOvement, I present to you five of my favorite artists with mustaches. Yeasayer (Indie Rock) – These guys have gained massive exposure after touring with the main music festivals over the past year. Just feel good experimental indie rock. The Tallest Man on Earth (Folk) – Bob Dylan has somehow found himself stuck inside this tiny Swedish man with a hip-stach. But seriously, Kristian Matsson puts his heart and soul into his music, and you can tell. Trouble Andrew (hip hop?) – Pro snowboarder turned musician, Trevor Andrew specializes in grimy indie…pop…party…electronic…hip hop…(?). MSTRKRFT (Electro/House) – It’s been awhile since these electro/house pioneers have spun together. Rumors has it that they are starting to put some new music together, but we can only hope. Sidenote: JFK repped the stach before it was cool. Jimi Hendrix (Legend) – I’ve been looking for a reason to post a Hendrix song! This man deserves to be played as much as the Beatles or the Stones, so take 2 and a half minutes and listen to pure genius. |
