Musically, we live in a pretty intresting time. The lines of genre have never before been this blurry/ignored. It’s becoming more and more acceptible for a band to bring a DJ on stage (Phoenix+Daft Punk), or even for a DJ to bring band elements to their set. Great examples include A Trak partnering with Travis Barker, the Beetroots giving birth to their Death Crew, or the up and coming Keys and Krates.

I’ve recently stumbled over another example currently taking names on the west coast of California. Think 2 turn tables, a drummer, and a focus on electro house/dubstep. The “Drug Abuse” mix starts off kind of slow, but around the 8 minutes mark these guys pick it up and tackle artists like Deadmau5, Justice, Swedish House Mafia, Nero, The Beetroots, and yes even Blur. Woo hoo.
