Best Coast

As my #1 go-to Summer artist, Best Coast (@bestycoasty) has released a new song, ‘How They Want Me To Be’. Staying true to her beach wave, let’s-wallow-in-my-sorrows-while-laying-on-a-beach sound, the song is instantly loveable. Listen here.

Also released this week was the video for ‘Our Deal’ directed by actress turned indie director Drew Barrymore. I was worried at first because the song was so amazing I was afraid the video wouldn’t live up to the caliber of the song. On the contrary, it’s a West Side Story/Romeo & Juliet/Meets Thriller? inspired story featuring people you would probably recognize if you were 14 (wait-is that the girl from School of Rock?).
